Where to now Scara

TO go home or stay in a foreign land?  That’s the question that confronts recently offloaded Warriors midfielder Thabani ‘Scara’ Kamusoko after he was released by Zambian side ZESCO United.

The Zambian side has indicated that they will not be extending Kamusoko’s contract when it expires at the end of this month.

He joined ZESCO United in 2019 from Tanzanian giants Young Africans.

Before that, the now 34-year-old had played for FC Platinum.

“It’s a waiting game for now to see what the future holds. I have important decisions to make with regards to my future in the next coming weeks but for now I have nothing concrete lined up,” said Kamusoko.

With an impressive work ethic that has seen him called for national duty on several occasions ahead of younger players, it will not come as a surprise if another Zambian side seeks his signature.

Back at home, Kamusoko is not short of admirers.

Local coaches will certainly line up to have a player of his calibre in their books.

His experience comes in handy for coaches rebuilding their squads but looking for leadership and maturity.
