Brazilian Portuguese Highlanders technical manager Baltemar Jose de Oliveira Brito revealed on Thursday that they will not be adding new personnel to their squad.

The month-long Zifa mid-season transfer window opens on Friday and a number of Castle Lager Premier Soccer League outfits will be expected to be busy on the market signing new players and showing others the exit.

“We are not thinking of hiring any player. We have a balanced squad. Only if Lionel Messi comes here, we will sign him. We are not looking at chances of bringing any new players on board,” said the 70-year-old Oliveira Brito through his interpreter Joao Martins Leao Torres who doubles up as his assistant coach.

Brito’s sentiments come at a time it has been widely reported that the Bulawayo giants were keen on luring Bulawayo City captain Vincent Moyo.

Moyo is also being targeted by 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Chicken Inn.

Following his stint in South Africa, ex-Bosso leftback MaClive Phiri was recently training with the black and white army.

On Sunday, Brito’s Bosso charges who beat Black Rhinos 3-2 in their previous encounter played at Barbourfields Stadium, will invade Mhondoro for a tricky tie against equally buoyant Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium.

Ngezi, who are under guidance of former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari, accounted for Bulawayo City 3-0 at Emagumeni in their Week 18 fixtures.

City coach Farai Tawachera blamed a stomach bug for City’s heavy defeat at the hands of the platinum miners.
