WITH his Castle Premier Soccer League side  Bulawayo City starring relegation, the club’s head coach Farai Tawarechera says they are not giving up yet on avoid the dread chop.

City were on Saturday gunned down at home by army side Cranborne Bullets on a 1-2 scoreline.

It was a development that worsened Bulawayo City’ relegation worries as they slid one place to position 16 in a 18 member league.

City have 24 points, four ahead of bottom placed Whawha.

“It was a really disappointing loss.We should have won this game. However, we are not throwing in the towel yet. There are seven more games to play. We just need to keep within the touching distance by winning our games. We are not panicking and we are not really worried about where we are,” said Tawarechera.

City are involved in a relegation dogfight together with Whawha, ZPC Kariba, Tenax and Cranborne Bullets among other clubs.

Amakhosi bounced back to the elite football league at the end of 2019 when they were under the tutelage of Try Ncube who is now with Zifa Southern Region Division One log leaders Hwange.
