Award-winning songstress Vuyo Brown is set to celebrate her thirtieth birthday in style as she will stage a performance at Carne Casa in honour of her existence.

Vuyo was born on 30 January 1992.

As a birthday present to herself, the Imvana hitmaker decided to host The Golden 30 concert at Carne Casa, a steak house or restaurant which gives patrons a fine dining world-class Brazilian experience.

Turning 30 comes with many societal pressures especially to females.

The social order expects her to be married when she celebrates three decades of existence.

However, from all the various burdens, Vuyo Brown is not under pressure and she said turning 30 is just like any another birthday.

“It feels just like celebrating any other year to be honest. I am just fascinated by a golden birthday.

“A golden birthday is when one’s birth date is the same as the year they are turning, 30 on 30 January thus I termed my birthday gig celebration as The Golden 30.

“I am however grateful for everything I have been able to do in the different spaces I occupy, God has been gracious,” said Vuyo Brown.

Concerning the celebrations, she said people should expect fun. “The Golden 30 concert is going to have a live performance and some refreshments. It’s going to be worth attending for Vuyo Brown supporters or lovers
of Unplugged alternative Christian music, Soul, Jazz and weird sounds.

“Seats for the concert are limited so one has to book their seat in time because the event will be in line with Covid 19 protocols,” said Vuyo Brown who was crowned Outstanding Female Artiste at the 2021 Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (RoilBAA).

To book a seat, one can pay as much as he or she wants with the minimum being US10.
