Harare-based Afro-house artiste Tymbah, real name Tinashe Mukwamuri ,has so much love for Bulawayo creatives and he just can’t get enough of them judging by the number of collaborations he made with the city’s top notch artistes so far this year.
The Woza hitmaker revealed that he always tried by all means to accommodate Ndebele speakers in most of his songs.
As such, his first 2020 single titled Happy featuring multi-award winning Novuyo Seagirl has found its way to the hearts of many in the City of Kings.
The single which was released mid-April is enjoying a massive rotation on national radio stations and Bulawayo’s radio stations Skyz Metro FM and Khulumani FM.
He revealed that working with Seagirl was a “happy” moment in his life as he always wanted to work with her since 2017.
“I have known Seagirl since 2017. We met while participating at the Dream Star competitions during that year, and ever since we have been in touch, working with her was a happy moment for me because I knew a song with her would be amazing,” he said.
As if that is not enough, Tymbah has also secured collaborations with Bulawayo Hip-Hop rivals Cal_vin and Asaph on different projects.
“I have managed to work with Asaph on a song titled Wamuhle courtesy of my producer Toga who has a good relationship with him (Asaph). The single will be launched in August as a double package of the single and video at once.
“Another single that I have done is featuring Cal_vin and its title is yet to be decided but it is going to be released at the end of the year because it is a good vibe for December,” said Tymbah.
Tymbah is a Bulawayo born artiste whose family migrated to Harare when he was young. He always tries to retrace his roots by singing in Ndebele and through local collaborations so as to be in touch with fans.
In a bid to perfect his craft and give quality music to his fans, Tymbah enrolled and graduated at the Midlands State University with an Honours Degree in Music and Musicology.
