HAS your favourite team signed any player? Who have they shipped out?

B-Metro Sport gives you some of the ins, outs and intended moves as Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs get busy in the transfer market.

Charles Sibanda

Discarded FC Platinum seasoned attacking midfielder Charles Sibanda is reportedly drooling over a Bulawayo City move. Sibanda was offloaded at Pure Platinum Play together with veteran forward Mkhokheli “Mshoza” Dube, goalkeeper Wallace Magalane and big striker Albert Eonde.

Four renowned local coaches Thulani “Thuts” Sibanda, Philani “Beefy” Ncube Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu and Farai Tawachera are all hoping to be in the dugout when the season kicks off as they were all recently interviewed at Amakhosi.

Mark Mathe reportedly turned down advances because he is happy at free spending Southern Region Division One side Talen Vision.

Tarumbwa, Byo Chiefs trio on Bosso wish list

A Highlanders insider has confided that veteran forward Obadiah Tarumbwa together with Bulawayo Chiefs trio of goalkeeper David Bizabani, defender Malvin Mkolo and hard running Farau Matare are on Bosso’s 2020 season wish list.

The Bulawayo football giants are reported to be pursuing the signature of Magalane, a goal minder, who sources allege that he is eyeing a move to Norman Mapeza’s Chippa United.

Bosso have also been making indefatigably efforts to engage the out of contract duo of Denzel Khumalo and right back McClive Phiri.

Khumalo is still on holiday in neighbouring South Africa and rumour has it that he might join FC Platinum. And it’s no surprise considering that ex-Bosso coaches Pieter De Jongh and Tembo Chuma, are now in charge of the Zvishavane side.

Phiri has reportedly been playing hide and seek and chances are high that if his intended move to Super Diski hits a snag, he will join Bosso’s cross town rivals Chicken Inn, who have put an attractive offer on the table.

Chindungwe dumps relegated Hwange for Sheasham

Dreadlocked Felex “Sanicky” Chindungwe has decided not to renew his contract with relegated Hwange amid revelations that he is being courted by Zifa Central Region Division one outfit Sheasham, who are under the guidance of John Nyikadzino.

Chindungwe ditched Hwange together with Nomore Chinyerere who has since signed with FC Platinum. Chinyerere was initially linked with a move to Chicken Inn and we wonder how FC Platinum managed to “dribble” past the Gamecocks family for the signature of the ex-Chipangano defender.

Following the development, Chicken Inn are not an amused lot.

“They (FC Platinum) are always like that, this is not the first time they have done this. They have a tendency of going behind to strike a deals with the club despite us having signed contracts with the players. If they have done so, good luck to them and good luck to Chinyerere. But I have the player’s contract in my office,” said Chicken Inn secretary-general Tavengwa Hara.

This will not be the first time Pure Platinum Play have snatched players under the nose of the Gamecocks.

The two clubs once had a wrangle over players like Ishmael Wadi, Perfect Chikwende and Lawrence Mhlanga.

The Gamecocks have so far signed Clive Dzingai from relegated Mushowani Stars together with Brian Giant from Mosi Rovers.

Josta dumps CAPS

The Green Machine are already planning for next season and have signed two players Leeroy Mavhunga from Yadah and ex-Harare City prodigy Tatenda Tumba.

They have, however, lost one of their most prized assets Joel Ngodzo, who was crowned Soccer Star of the Year in 2019. Ngodzo joined Zambian side Buildcon recently.
