A 17-YEAR-OLD teenager from Kingsdale suburb in Bulawayo has been arrested for allegedly pestering a 10-year-old boy for anal sex.
The boy was pestering the Grade Five pupil while also persuading him into ‘experimenting’ with him.
The teenager has since appeared in court charged with a crime of performing an indecent act with a young person as defined in Section 70 (1) (c) of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23.
He was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody to December 6 and was released into the custody of his guardian.
Allegations are that on 13 November 2021 and at around 7pm the minor boy was at home when he was approached by the accused who expressed his undying love for him.
The accused reportedly told the boy that he loves him and that the boy should positively respond to his advances.
The court is yet to prove that on 15 November 2021 when the victim was coming from school the accused followed him and insisted that they should be in a relationship.
The accused in a bid to force the victim to bow down to his request, went to his house where he waited for him outside the gate.
While standing outside, the accused started threatening to beat up the victim if he turned down his advances.
It is reported that in the process the accused was also instructing the boy to come outside the gate to kiss him and perform a sexual act.
It is further reported that the boy’s uncle who was secretly monitoring the two’s ‘sex-related’ conversation became suspicious. He then called the victim and quizzed him on what was happening.
The seemingly panicking victim reportedly narrated the whole ordeal to his uncle who went and reported the matter to the police. Investigations subsequently led to the arrest of the accused.
