Some sponsors of the PPC Zimbabwe Music Awards (PPC ZIMA) have reportedly pulled out.
This has affected the awards’ organisers such that the value of the money that each winner will get this year couldn’t be disclosed.
The awards were supposed to be held on 5 February and they they were shifted to 20 February.
The chief executive officer of the PPC ZIMA, Reason “Rizla’ Sibanda revealed that the awards would be held online in line with the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
“We have adjusted to the new normal and we are going to continue with this year’s edition of the awards.
“Some of our sponsors pulled out meaning it can’t be said how much money our winners will pocket.
“We hope to come up with solutions that will see the winners getting tokens of appreciation,” said Sibanda in a telephone interview.
