Courtesy of information gathered from impeccable sources, we recently reported that in an effort to spur Chicken Inn Football Club to their first championship in seven years, Simbisa Brands had tabled US$125 000 incentive if Joey Antipas’ men win the 2021/ 2022 PSL title.

“I recently talked to coach Antipas and the team and confirmed to them that if they do happen to win the championship, there will be an incentive for them that will be shared by the players and the management.

The figure stands between US$130 000 and US$150 000.

We are happy to be founders and sponsors of this great club.

So far, they have been performing exceptionally well and Antipas has assured us that he will be working on some technical areas so as to continue doing well.

We are looking forward to seeing our club bring the trophy back home,” said Meares.

The Gamecocks, who are set to meet Yadah FC at Luveve Stadium on Saturday, have so far enjoyed a fine run in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign amassing a total of 31 points, one ahead of second-placed Dynamos.

The belief in the Gamecocks camp is that the current squad has so far done well to land the club’s second PSL top gong.

Club president Lifa Ncube also confirmed that the Gamecocks could be singing on top of their voices come season end if they take number one in this contest.

“The boys have done well since the start of the season.

Who can stop them from getting what they deserve?

Without mentioning monetary figures, which will keep on motivating them, we have been told our sponsors have put something on the table if the boys do win the championship,” said Ncube.
