He is the man behind many AmaPiano hits from Zaka, Sengzwile to Uzozisola, and this time around, South African award-winning producer and DJ Mas Musiq is set to bring his latest album Nini la Nini to Bulawayo on 10 June as he will be performing at Hartsfield Tshisanyama.

Dubbed the Park and Chill party, the gig will see the muso visiting the country for the first time in his career. His visit coincides with the relaunch of Hartsfield Tshisanyama, a joint which recently had a facelift, as a way of maintaining its previous showbiz glory.
The gig is set to start at 12pm until late, making it an afternoon event, something that is not usual to the Bulawayo crowd, as mainly huge acts like Mas Musiq perform at night.

Football lovers will be well taken care of as the Uefa Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan will be livestreamed and displayed on big screens, so as to strike a balance among revellers.

Mduduzi Mdlongwa from 3D Events, who is also the organiser of the much-anticipated gig said the Park and Chill concept was pitched to him by a friend from Victoria Falls and he turned it into reality by inviting Mas Musiq.

“The concept was inspired by a friend who is based in Victoria Falls who already has a similar movement happening in the resort town. We fine-tuned the idea and came up with the “Park and Chill” event which will be graced by Mas Musiq.

“He (Mas Musiq) is a heavyweight in the AmaPiano world having produced numerous hits and worked with the likes of DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, DJ Stokie, Aymos, Ami Faku. So, we saw it fit to bring him to Bulawayo, which will be his first visit to Zimbabwe.

“Hartsfield has been refurbished, so a top-notch experience is expected on the day of the event. We promise our best service delivery, a better ambiance at a place which will be more friendly than the previous set up of the joint,” said Mdlongwa.

He urged patrons to buy their tickets on time because parking space is limited.
“Everyone seems to be liking the idea of the show because tickets are selling faster than we expected. I guess it’s because of the manner in which we priced our general tickets (R100), because we are aware of the economic challenges around us now.

“Those who haven’t got tickets have to rush because we have sold almost 80 percent of the parking space which was limited,” said Mdlongwa.
Mas Musiq will be joined on decks by 3D Family DJs.
