COACH Tonderai Ndiraya and his trusted lieutenant Patson Jaure are set for a sensational reunion after the two were shown the door at fading giants Dynamos in mid-November last year and January respectively.
Ndiraya was the first to get the axe last year after Dynamos decided not to renew his contract that had been set to expire at the end of 2022.
His captain Jaure was to follow when he was fired on New Year’s Day.
The ex-DeMbare coach did not take long on the unemployment wagon after he was offered a contract by newly promoted Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Simba Bhora.
Information reaching B-Metro Sport is that Ndiraya wants the Simba Bhora executive to quickly tie down Jaure with a contract before he is snapped by other PSL clubs.
The two have a good working relationship from their time at Dynamos.
“So serious are the Simba Bhora executives in taking up Ndiraya’s recommendations to quickly sign Jaure that they have offered the player a top-of-the range vehicle as a way of luring him to the club.
“Remember Jaure lost the car he was using, courtesy of the Sakunda Holdings deal, when Dynamos decided not extend his contract and the Simba Bhora guys are dangling a vehicle as part of a deal to get him on board,” this publication was briefed.
Ndiraya said he is not at liberty to comment on new recruits or players his new club is targeting before the team makes official announcements.
The club is expected to make the announcements, including Ndiraya’s unveiling, at a ceremony at the end of January.
The 2023 PSL season is expected to kick off in mid-February.
In the Dynamos camp, the club has offloaded a whooping 13 players before the start of the 2023 season.
New coach Herbert Maruwa – a former Black Rhinos gaffer – is on a rebuilding exercise and is keen to start the season on a clean slate.
