KickOff.com has learnt that Black Leopards have identified Norman Mapeza and Dan Malesela as potential candidates to replace Alan Clark as head coach.
Clark handed in his resignation letter at Leopards on Tuesday morning after receiving a coaching opportunity in Europe.
The former Platinum Stars and AmaZulu assistant coach replaced Cavin Johnson in February and was tasked with saving a struggling team from relegation.
According to a source close to Lidoda Duvha, the club could now go for either Mapeza or Malesela to fill the vacancy.
“Norman Mapeza and Dan Malesela are some of the names that have been discussed but there is nothing formal at the moment,” the source tells KickOff.com.
“In the meanwhile Morgan Shivambu will be in charge while the club continues to search for the new coach.”
Luc Eymael also cannot be ruled out of the running having just been sacked following a successful season with Young Africans SC in Tanzania.
Shivambu has performed caretaker duties four times already this season following the departures of Lionel Soccoia, Luc Eymael, Johnson and now Clark.
