INSURANCE Company, NicozDiamond, who have enjoyed a long-term relationship with Chicken Inn, have gone a step further to cement their association by providing formal wear for the club’s players, members of the technical team and executive members, B-Metro Sport has learnt.
NicozDiamond Insurance managing director David Nyabadza said after taking into consideration the challenging environment that football clubs and other entities were operating under, they saw it fit to give back to the community by supporting the 2015 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions.
Abba Fashions managing director Paul Svongwa said the Gamecocks formal outfit was made up of trendy slim fit black blazers with Chicken Inn and NicozDiamond logos and slim fit chino khaki trousers.
Gamecocks secretary-general Tavengwa Hara said the gesture by the insurance company would help the club keep a positive image.
In April 2019, NicozDiamond poured in $450 000 which went towards salaries and bonuses for the Gamecocks players.
In 2018, the club entered into sponsorship deals with Bonvie Medical Aid Scheme, Black Shark and Zibuko Capital in Bulawayo before they entered into a partnership with Nyaradzo Life Assurance who are providing Joey Antipas’ men with a branded 65-seater bus. Nyaradzo also provides funeral cover to 50 members of Chicken Inn, including some former players.
