Triple-platinum selling music producer Mefibosheth Kesani Ncube who trades by the name Murphy Cubic has described working with Gemma Griffiths as a major highlight of his fast-growing career.
Murphy Cubic produced two tracks on Griffiths’ nine track Extended Play (EP) titled A Girl From Harare.
He produced an RnB song titled Weather, and Down.
“Gemma Griffiths is the first artiste that I worked with from Harare and working with her was epic. After her, I have since started producing for other artistes from the capital like Ishan.
“We worked on Down and Weather. On Down, I sent her a couple of beats and she fell in love with the instrumental that was used on the final song.
“She then wanted a beat that will fuse RnB and Afro Beat which led me to producing Weather,” said Murphy Cubic.
On her offering, Griffiths said the EP was inspired by the experiences she faced while exploring the continent.
“I am extremely proud of this EP. I loved exploring the continent and discovering myself along the way. I have evolved as an artiste and grown immensely as a person through this journey on the road.
“The EP sparkles with production by some of Zimbabwe’s most gifted beatmakers including Murphy Cubic, who brings the magic on ‘Weather’ and ‘Down’, while DJ Tamuka makes his mark on ‘Raspberry’, ‘Don’t Worry’ and ‘Kwale’.
“The majority of the project reunites me with long-time cohort, Charie Kay who produced my debut EP Pamwe,” said Griffiths.
The album is now available for streaming and downloading on all major digital platforms.
