SIXTY-FOUR pool players registered with the National Elite Pool Association of Zimbabwe (NEPAZ) will on 14 November converge on Bulawayo for a potentially nail-biting tournament where the winner will go home US$500 richer.

NEPAZ president Geshem Nesh said the participants would be drawn from all over the country and they would seek to outdo each other at Masters Billiards Pool Centre.

“So far just over 40 players have registered to take part in the tournament that will have 64 participants. Registration fee is pegged at US$20 per player and the process will close on 13 November,” said Nesh.

Bulawayo-based cue sticks masters that have already registered for the contest include Kamohelo Dube, Fisani Moyo, Hardlife Magocha, Stanley Marko, Aurthur Dube, Lindan Gumbo, Norman Chisuwa, Ronald Kazembe, Stanley Ngwenya and the veteran of many pool battles Steven Paswani among others.

“The eventual winner will go home with US$500; the first runner-up will go home with US$250 and the third best player of the tournament will pocket US$150,” added Nesh.
