The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) have called for entries from the Cultural and Creative Industry (CCIs) who wish to be considered for nominations for the event which will be held in February 2022.
The nominations opened on 1 September and they will close on 30 September 2021.
Through the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), NAMA has encouraged creatives from various arts sectors including production houses, studios, galleries, organisations, associations and groups to take advantage of the opportunity.
Consideration will be given to works of art produced from 1 December 2019 to 30 November 2021.
Practitioners that have outstanding works that were published during the considered duration, can submit them at NACZ head office in Mount Pleasant, Harare and at NACZ provincial offices dotted countrywide.
Entry forms are obtained from any of the NACZ offices.
For one to access the entry forms online, they have to visit www.natartszim.org.zw.
All entries must be accompanied by three supporting materials, except for works which cannot be reproduced, including those who will nominate online.
The supporting materials can be in the form of DVDs, flash drives, hard drives, CDs, pictures and books.
If creatives require the return of their submitted works, they have to contact NACZ within three months after the awards ceremony.
NACZ reserves the right to retain the submitted artefacts.
Entry is open to Zimbabwean nationals or those with resident status only.
