WITH news that Turkish club Trabzonspor now wants to sign Marvelous Nakamba on loan this summer after initially expressing interest to take him on a permanent deal, Zimbabwe’s prominent player agent Gibson Mahachi has reckoned that the Warriors midfielder should stay put at Aston Villa.
The Zimbabwean joined Aston Villa last year and despite getting a decent share of minutes on the field in his debut season, he was linked with a move away.
“It will not be wise for Marvelous to move. He did well in his debut season at Aston Villa and as such continuity should be prioritised. I think he still has a lot to offer in the English Premier League,” said Mahachi.
Reports emerged in April that the Turkish side had targeted to snap him up on a bargain price if Villa got relegated from the top-flight.
But after the English Premier League club survived the chop, a permanent move reportedly became expensive for Trabzonspor who now want to sign Nakamba on a temporary basis, according to Turkish outlet, Fotomac.
However, that move would depend on coach Dean Smith’s willingness to let the midfielder go.
It’s also understood that the player is happy at Villa and has no intention to leave.
