BLACK Rhinos head coach Stanford “Stix” Mutizwa and CAPS United gunslinger William Manondo were on Friday named Castle Lager Premier Soccer League August Coach and Player of the Month respectively.

Mutizwa took over the coaching reins at the army side at the end of July from Hebert Maruwa.

In his first game in charge on 30 July, Mutizwa’s side beat fellow army team Cranborne Bullets. Mutizwa went on to guide Rhinos to a successful month of August where they did not lose a single match.

Despite squabbles and strikes that have punctuated their camp, the pint-sized Manondo, a former Harare City forward, has been in great scoring form for  CAPS United.

He now has 15 goals under his name, five ahead of Chicken Inn’s Brian Muza.
