Allegations against the perpetrator are that on 6 August 2022 at around 6am, Denford Muyambo secured his premises by locking all the doors and windows and went to his workplace leaving everything in order.

In his absence, Wesley opened the gate and went into Muyambo’s house. He used a wire to unlock the main entrance.

While he was inside the house, Wesley stole a Hisense subwoofer sound system and a 5kg gas tank and went away.

When Muyambo returned home, he discovered that his property had been stolen and reported the matter to ZRP Hillside Police Station.

The police investigated the matter, leading to the arrest of Wesley and the recovery of the stolen property.

In his defence, Wesley said he did not steal but his friend who is still on the run is the one who stole the property and gave it to him to sell.

The value of the stolen property is US$325.
