“iNkanyezi is my first ever project that has been taken so seriously in my career by both myself and my producers specially after collaborating with Big Zulu on the song Emazweni.

“The album tells a story of my life being part of the other stars, people I have worked with like Big Zulu. On the album, I did not only focus on Afro pop but I went on to challenge myself through Afro beats and Hip Hop.

“On the Hip Hop segment, I landed in an appreciation song that’s part of the album titled "Au-Drey". It tells a story on how my music career started and the secret behind the name Makhoe Drey,” said the Ntabazinduna bred muso.

On this particular project, Makhoe Drey said he composed the album so as to strike a balance in society based on various people’s love life. It brings joy to both the single and the taken.

“This album accommodates everyone. The song "Maye Ngaye" narrates a story of being single enjoying life unbothered. The album then continues on the other hand to talk about girls that have been hurt before.

“For the heartbroken girls, the song Emsamo is perfect to dry their tears. So basically, the album is a project of all the natures of love, the good, the bad, the flaws, satisfaction and happiness,” said Makhoe Drey.
