Allegations against the perpetrator are that on 28 July at around 10pm at ZRP Donnington Police Camp, Owen Mukandi searched for his money which he was keeping in his bedroom and could not find it.

He then decided to search for it the following day since he thought that he had misplaced it. When he could not find it, he told Mashingaidze but she did not respond.

Mukandi then went out of town leaving Mashingaidze with the children at home.

He then returned on 30 July at 9am and was told that Mashingaidze left the previous night.
