Local funny ace man Dumisani Ndlovu affectionately known as MaForty in comedy circles is working on putting together his third one-man show titled Ghetto Salad.
The show is slated for 11 December at Homestead Conference Centre (HCC).
It is set to commence at 6pm and T1nda, who is a regular recitalist at MaForty’s performances, will be the host.
Ghetto Salad will act as MaForty’s five years of celebration as an active comedian, a career he began on 5 December 2015.
Since he started gracing the stage, he has never looked back and he has provided clean and witty entertainment to comedy fanatics in Zimbabwe and notable Southern African countries.
“The show explores the different lifestyles of people that live in the high- and low-density areas based on what I personally see every day.
“Ghetto Salad is a jam-packed laugh fest targeted at people of all ages, and all walks of life. Everyone will be able to identify with my latest offering,” said MaForty.
In his career, the Outstanding Newcomer at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards 2018, has previously done other one-man shows with MaForty’s Road to 30 in 2017 being the first one followed by the 2018 solo gig MaForty Calls A Press Conference.
“Ghetto Salad is unique from the previous solo acts in the sense that I am letting people into my life, something which I partly did once on MaForty’s Road to 30.
“We will be on a hilarious journey that is my life and I believe many people will be able to relate to it. This authentic style of comedy has always brought out the best in me,” said MaForty.
Tickets for the show are already on sale and a single ticket is pegged at US$3/R60 while the double ticket (ticket for two) is going for US$5/R100.
