Multi-award-winning comedian, actor and musician Madlela Skhobokhobo has once more attracted another endorsement deal as he has collaborated with Beefman Butchery, a new player in meat marketing in Bulawayo.
Beef Butchery recently opened its first branch in Bulawayo and it will open its second branch in the city along soon.
Upon clinching the deal, Madlela who also doubles up as a radio host on Skyz Metro FM’s Thetha Zonke show as DJ Khehla, said he was excited to have attracted such a deal.
“As an artiste it’s awesome to be approached by business people because it’s a clear sign that your brand is out there and you are a product to reckon with.
“This is also an opportunity for me to learn different and new aspects of business because learning never ends and this gig is a reflection of that,” said Madlela who boasts of 125 000 followers on Facebook.
Dlelas as he is affectionately known, said there was a need for the corporate and business world to foster a relationship with local creatives so as to provide other means of income to artistes who have a potential to advertise and attract more customers.
“The marketing and advertising world is upgrading and changing due to technology advancements. There is a need for business people to collaborate with artistes in marketing their products for creatives can reach a huge number of potential customers.
“I urge local corporates to take a leaf from their counterparts in Harare who have done so much in uplifting artistes from that region.
“For example, Nash Paint’s Tinashe Mutarisi has collaborated with so many artistes in changing their lives including Andrea The Vocalist, with the recent creative being Freeman HKD on his latest album David and Goliath,” said Madlela.
