At the gig, many artistes came to support Macheso and creatives such as Leonard Zhakata, Suluman Chimbetu, Selmor Mtukudzi, HKD boss Freeman and Seh Calaz took to the stage.

Macheso has admitted that the success of the album launch was courtesy of faithful fans and different stakeholders who combined efforts to see his wish coming to fruition.

“To orchestra Mberikwazvo fans (ndimi vanhu vacho), stakeholders, Mberikwazvo team and families, we would like to say thank you for helping and supporting us.

“To everyone who put in hours of hard work and extra time for this project to come out as a success, we say thank you.

We really appreciate your unwavering support for taking time to come and support us. We couldn’t have done it without you all Siyabonga kakhulu. Be blessed highly in all your endeavours, mazvita,” said Macheso.

The six-track album was recorded at Alema Studios in Chitungwiza.

Apart from the gig, Macheso also held a mini-launch at Rainbow Towers in Harare, which saw Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts and Recreation Tino Machakaire showering him with US$20 000 cash for Macheso’s single CD.
