It’s a birthday bash!
Sensational female gospel artiste Mai Margaret Mwamuka is set to celebrate her 52th birthday in style as she is set to celebrate it with her fans and worshippers through shooting a Live DVD recording.
The DVD recording which is titled Jesu will be recorded on 3 August, her birthday, at Bulawayo’s Family of God Auditorium and it is an initiative of her spiritual children who made it possible through different support systems.
The 2018 Outstanding Gospel Act at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards revealed that her spiritual children decided to treat her with a unique present for her birthday and make sure she celebrates it with her gospel fans.
“My spiritual children arranged everything for this Live DVD recording on the day I was born because they appreciate the way I preach the gospel to the people. I believe I was sent by God to minister his gospel on earth and therefore I have to be grateful with the gift of life and the loving spiritual children the Almighty has given me.
“The Jesu DVD recording preparations are going on very well and worshippers must come in numbers because this will be a platform that will bring people together and rejoice in the name of the Lord,” said Mwamuka.
With her Panenyasha hit making waves across all national radio stations including Radio Zimbabwe, Star FM and Skyz Metro FM, Mai Mwamuka revealed that the single would be the most attractive on the day of the DVD recording as it has won people’s hearts.
Mai Mwamuka believes in giving young talent a chance to showcase their gifts, and as such a young vibrant number of artistes will be backing her on the DVD.
“There is a lot of talent in the Zimbabwean gospel scene and I have decided to work with different young artistes on the DVD so as to give them an opportunity to show the world what God has given them.
“Artistes that will be performing during the recording include Lorraine Stot Maplanka, my son in music Anesu Chirongo and Nigel Nyamweda,” said Mwamuka.
What does her second DVD in her musical career has in offer?
Mai Mwamuka revealed that on her 12 songs that will feature on the DVD, most of them were composed in IsiNdebele unlike in her previous offering.
She also said that she penned a song that celebrates life and acknowledging God for the gift of life, a piece that can be used by many people when they are celebrating their birthdays.
Admission for the DVD recording is pegged at RTGS$10.
