CHICKEN Inn versus Highlanders!

It doesn’t get any better than this. In Bulawayo, this is the derby. While Gamecocks will be looking forward to further bounce back into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title race when they face across town rivals Bosso on Saturday at Barbourfields Stadium, the latter will hope for better fortunes that will help exorcise the Chicken Inn ghost, having only beaten the Joey Antipas’ charges twice in the league since 2011.

Madinda Ndlovu’s men, who have gone for six games without a win, will be hunting for their first triumph in this campaign that has seen them go on a goal drought at Emagumeni.

Bosso will be looking to turn around poor form and in the process search for their first goal of the season at Barbourfields Stadium against a Moses Jackson-captained side which is two points behind league leaders FC Platinum.

Following their last weekend’s 0-2 away win over Manica Diamonds, Chicken Inn have wrestled their way back into the top four alongside FC Platinum, CAPS United and Hwange.

If they —Chicken Inn — will be brave enough to play on the front foot again, expect a win for them against an out of order Bosso that will need to be on red alert and to tame the country’s leading top goal scorer Clive Augusto, who having scored five goals in his last six games for Antipas’ men, is tipped to inflict more misery in the black and white camp.

Goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda and Prince Dube are the only two players that have scored for Bosso this season. The Bulawayo giants continue with their hunt for goals and a full set of points.

So the story should probably read, Let’s Go Chicken Inn, Come On Bosso! After boldly declaring that they were challenging for the league’s top honours, in-form Hwange welcome Chapungu at Colliery Stadium on Sunday. Early league pacesetters FC Platinum face TelOne at Luveve Stadium while seemingly resurgent Dynamos take on Yadah FC at Rufaro Stadium.

Yet to lose CAPS United have a date with Triangle at Gibbo Stadium. Basement side Bulawayo Chiefs have an away tie against equally bruised Harare City in the capital.
