Three men who were boozing have been arrested for allegedly stabbing to death a man over a misunderstanding.
The incident happened on Monday in Hope Fountain on the outskirts of Bulawayo.
The three are brothers – Fred Moyo (18) and Brendon Moyo (18) and their accomplice Lucky Linda (18).
A source close to the incident said the trio of Linda, and Moyo brothers were boozing with Fidel Ndlovu at Family Needs bottle store in Hope Fountain. The source went on to say while they were taking the wise waters Fidel had an argument with Fred. The situation spiraled out of control and Linda reportedly gave Brendon an Okapi knife and he stabbed Fidel.
“He stabbed him in the chest causing him to fall down as he bled profusely and later died. Soon after that a man who was watching the whole incident gave police a tip-off leading to the arrest of Linda and Moyo brothers,” said a source.
A well-placed source said CID scenes of crime and police from Hillside police station attended the scene and recovered a blood-stained Okapi knife hidden 50 metres from the crime scene.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.
