“Two of the guys remained outside while the other two went into the house and headed to the owner’s bedroom. They pointed a machete at him while threatening to hack him to death with it. They demanded cash. Fearing for his life he surrendered US$155 and two cellphones. After that they left and pounced at a neighbour’s house,” said a source close to the incident.
They used the same modus operandi to gain entry into the house.
“They found the owner of the house standing by the door and threatened to kill her. After that they demanded cash, she surrendered a laptop, a cellphone and US$720 cash,” said the source.
