KwaNtuthu Comedy Festival on the cards

Award-winning comedian Dumisani “MaForty” Ndlovu, has come up with an initiative of cultivating a comedy culture in Bulawayo by giving birth to KwaNtuthu Comedy Festival, a first of its kind in the city of Queens.

The festival which is set to be an annual event is powered by HubForty Entertainment PBC which trades as LOL Entertainment Zimbabwe.

KwaNtuthu Comedy Festival is registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ).

The inaugural festival will run under the theme “This Is For You” and it will run from 27 to 29 October 2022.

The festival focuses on the genre of comedy in its various forms, like but not limited to Poetry, Stand Up Comedy, Film, Visual Arts and Theatre.

Artistes and production houses who wish to be part of this year’s edition are encouraged to apply for a possible feature at the festival by submitting their works to [email protected]

Deadline for application is 29 July 2022.

Applicants should include the following on submission; links to their artworks, social media handles and a quote of their performance fee with duration of performance.

Successful applications will be notified starting on 1 August 2022.

The invitation is open to artistes and production houses from “all African states”.
