WARRIORS trio of forward Knox Mutizwa, Spain-based goalkeeper Martin Mapisa and midfielder Butholezwe Ncube are yet to join camp ahead of the team’s much awaited showdown against neighbours South Africa in a 2022 World Cup qualifier set for Friday in Harare.

Announcing an updated Warriors squad on Tuesday afternoon following the withdrawal of some players due to Covid-19 related restrictions and other issues, Zifa said all the players were in camp except for the above-mentioned trio.

Players called up as replacements for those not available are Godknows Murwira of Dynamos, Kevin Moyo who plays for Nkana in Zambia, the FC Platinum duo of William Stima and Silas Songani.

Ishmael Wadi of JDR Stars in South Africa’s GladAfrica Championship, Mutizwa who turns out for Lamontville Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership and Farai Madhananga who plays for Marumo Gallants across the Limpopo.

Mamelodi Sundowns left back Devine Lunga reportedly missed his flight to Harare on Monday but he has already reported for duty.

According to Warriors manager Wellington Mpandatre the team was expected to get into business on Tuesday at 3pm and France-based Marshall Munetsi and Mapisa were expected to train with the rest of the squad.
