YOU’VE probably heard of professional wrestling. But do you know what it really is?

It’s not just people belting each other over the head with folding chairs.

There are compelling storylines, heroic acts of derring-do, blood-curdling extreme moments, and enough cultural complexities to make John Cena to grab his nose.

As a professional footballer but not a wrestler,Warriors’ defender Teenage “Manero” Hadebe took some time on Monday to be part of the United States of America’s Monday Wrestling Raw night and interestingly he immediately rechristened himself John Nero

His John Cena regalia with a wrestling belt was just an overkill and many wondered on social media that he had fulfilled his childhood dreams.

Cena is an American professional wrestler, actor, television presenter, and former rapper currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers, he is tied with Ric Flair for the most world championship reigns in professional wrestling history.

Born and raised in West Newbury, Massachusetts, Cena moved to California in 1998 to pursue a career as a bodybuilder. He transitioned to professional wrestling in 1999 when he debuted for Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW).

He signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2001, where he was initially assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).

He gained fame in the WWE after adopting the persona of a trash-talking rapper.

He won his first singles title, the United States Championship, in 2004. The next year, he won the WWE Championship for the first time, and his character subsequently transitioned into a clean-cut “Superman-like” hero.

He then led the company as its franchise player and public face for the next decade.

“Wresting is real but performed (acting live). It was a nice experience for me,” said Hadebe in a brief interview with B-Metro Sport.
