THE Well Life Foundation and Bulawayo Province Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Service Excellence Awards held on Saturday in Bulawayo saw Gracious Driving School drive away with the Best Driving School of the Year accolade.

The driving school’s director, Edwin Ndlovu, said he felt proud of his company.

“We are very happy with this; it is consistent with our motto of making our clients happy. Actually, our happy clients are the ones who voted for us,” said Ndlovu.

The inaugural awards and symposium were made possible thanks to a partnership between Well Life Foundation and the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The founder of Well Life Foundation, Albert Chapasuka, hailed the awards and said it was the first time for Bulawayo to have a platform that recognises entrepreneurs.

“The concept around the purpose was to share our vision with entrepreneurs and promote entrepreneurship and we are very happy with the responses we got from entrepreneurs,” said Chapasuka.

He said the organisation would next year hold awards again as a way of motivating participants.

“We hope that next year those who got awards this year and also those who were nominated will also take part for it to be a success,” said Chapasuka.

The Well Life Foundation is committed to empowering women through small business start-up grants for women-owned and women supporting small businesses.
