Gospel artist Given Siyabonga has released a single track entitled Bambelela to give hope and inspire people in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Siyabonga, who is popularly known as Sybs in music circles, said he named the track Bambelela so as to inspire and give hope to people amid challenges caused by Covid -19.   The 32-year-old artist said he was touched by the plight of people losing their jobs due to Covid – 19-induced job cuts.

“As an artist I portray what is happening in the society. I have observed with a grieving heart that some people’s lives have been plunged into quagmire after they lost their jobs or their source of livelihood due to Covid-19,” he said.

Sybs, who is a member of Kingdom Life International Church, said the track was meant to uplift a soul that is going through a tough time and impress upon the mind that God never fails.

“Despite how bad the situation could get; God the Almighty does n’t change and He never fails. The track encourages people to cast their worries and burdens upon the Lord and certainly He will deliver them,” he said.

The single also inspires one who has failed on countless occasions to never give up but to keep on trying.

“The track gives hope to a person who is about to throw in the towel to never give up because giving up is not a solution but one has to sit down and re-strategise on how best he or she could make it. Giving up is for the cowards who unknowingly will remain stuck in one place,” he says.

The song is doing well on Skyz Metro FM Gospel Hour Show. The Hlabelela gospel singer said he was trying his hand in Rhumba music and had roped in Madlela Skhobokhobo.

“I expect to have completed my fourth album at the end of September. I’m assisted by Madlela Sikhobokhobo. This album is produced by Neshville Nyasha Nyika,” he said.
