GN27 makes divine connection

DOCTORS think he won’t play again, but God seems to have made more than a few plans for Gabriel “Granvia” Nyoni.

Just last week, this publication reported that Granvia was making steady progress in recovery. And perhaps the most telling evidence of God’s divine hand upon the speedster’s life, added to his own focus and resilience, we also revealed the birth of his own line of perfumes: GN27, a collection that has five scented oils based on brands such as Tom Ford’s Noir, Gucci Oud by Gucci, Chanel’s Bleu de CHANEL and Dior’s Sauvage.

And today we continue to see God’s hand as we exclusively reveal an offer by a man of God to help promote the perfumes as a brand ambassador.

The hugely popular Prophet Black Elisha has already spoken to Granvia and the two have an agreement in place and the man of God is now effectively the GN27 brand ambassador, the very first such partnership for the new business.

“We have agreed on a partnership with Prophet Black Elisha. I love it because if leadership benefits you only it’s not leadership. I believe leadership should be something bigger than me. He has a following already and I want to see my leadership serving and benefiting others. So, when others want to partner with me, I love that because what I created isn’t merely benefiting me but other people,” said the ex-Zimbabwe youth international in an interview from Cape Town, South Africa.

Prophet Elisha, who is the founder and leader of the Christ Life Generation Church, said he was pleased to work hand in glove with the former Highlanders and CAPS United striker.

“Gabriel is a very ambitious young man and I could not resist working with him. I’m glad he accepted me with both hands and we are ready to go. I will pray hard for this partnership to yield more positive results.

I also pledge to vigorously push the products on the local market,” said the man of God who has been a prophet for 17 years, and has grown popular for his unique and rather unconventional method of deliverance and healing.

The fragrance’s name GN27 comes from the player’s name-Gabriel Nyoni- and his beloved number 27 football jersey.

The ex-Bosso and Makepekepe speedster joins a host of other international athletes across the sporting spectrum who have extended their brands beyond the boundaries of sports.

The average cost of the GN27 fragrances across all lines is R200 (US$14) and are available for purchase on the GN27 Perfumes website [www.gn27perfumes.com].

Nyoni, a Marketing degree holder, has also tried his hand in clothes designing. He launched GN27 branded hoods two years ago.

Two months ago, Nyoni sustained a career-threatening injury and many have been pleased that he has moved quickly to start a business which could go a long way in helping him survive should he be unable to make a return to the pitch.

The Cape Umoya forward sustained a Lisfranc football injury during a GladAfrica Championship game against Richards Bay FC in South Africa and was subsequently told that his future was uncertain. Two wires and three screws were inserted in his left foot and he will know in a few months whether there is a possibility that he will no longer play football.

He admitted that he had been fighting through feelings of depression, but he decided that he would not just sit back and feel sorry for himself.
