COURTESY of a picture that he posted Monday on his Facebook timeline that he captioned “Better than Yesterday”, while he was having a gym workout, ex Orlando Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces striker Tendai “Fire” Ndoro seems to have regained his stamina.

At the end of 2021, it was reported that Ndoro, who now uses the surname Mukundwa on Facebook, had been forced to call time on his football career due to illness.

Ndoro (35) was said to have been diagnosed with diabetes which was affecting his sight.

In October last year, football lovers were shocked when it was revealed that the former Orlando Pirates star was now unrecognis, able.

Pictures of a frail-looking Ndoro at the Simba Bhora training ground went viral across the world, amid revelations that he had lost all his assets to his ex-wife Thando Maseko.

Ndoro cleared Maseko of any wrongdoing, saying she had nothing to do with his demise.

Last month, the former Warriors and Chicken Inn gunslinger was on record talking about his possible return to the field of play anytime soon and gave some hints regarding the future of his football career.

Fire, as Ndoro is affectionately known, opened up about his possible move to Dubai or retracing his footsteps to the oil-rich Asian continent where he once turned out for the Saudi Arabian club Al Faisaly in 2017.

Ndoro confirmed this in an interview with South African based Zimbabwean radio and sports presenter Melisa Laung (born Melisa Nxumalo) on her online show Sports Gist that premiered on Facebook.

“Something is coming, you will start to watch that “Fire” (his nickname) again. There are clubs from Dubai and Saudi Arabia who showed some interest in my services but I told myself to wait a little, I will start preparing myself in January.”

The footballer is in South Africa where he is reportedly into unspecified business.
