SOUTH Africa-based Zimbabwean film director and scriptwriter Moreblessing Dube has established a film company in South Africa called Blecy Diamond Media and Films.

Moreblessing Dube (26), popularly known as Blecy Diamond in the arts industry has since produced one film titled Isono somzali, and has written scripts for films titled Kusemhlabeni, The Hidden Jewellery and Ilifa.

Growing up in Filabusi, Dube never envisioned she would be a film director until she relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa in 2010.

Her breakthrough came in 2016, when she met film directors Kriss the Beast, Future Golide and Ztikeni the producer of Mpukane Crazy Entertainers who encouraged her to be an actress and later on start her own company.

“It was never an easy journey because I was young and an outsider so not many people wouldn’t take me seriously until I met people in the film industry who actually encouraged me to pursue my dreams,” said Dube.

After working as an actress for Koro Entertainment and Bold Media Kreations she was applauded for her talent and then she felt the urge to work on her own productions despite the many challenges she faced.

“I have always done my best to provide perfect work even though sometimes I struggle to finance my works. My advice to anyone facing challenges in this industry is to never give up, stay bold and focus on the goal you want to achieve”, said Dube.

Due to her hard work the film director has attracted five South African media companies namely Mangoma, Mpukane Crazy Entertainers,  BMK, uMthethwabo and Arts Unlimited which she will be working with to produce her second movie.

Her goals are to produce more films and to groom actors and actresses who will be known worldwide.
