REIGNING local champions FC Platinum landed in Luanda Thursday morning to take on Angolan side Sagrada Esperanca in a CAF Champions League eliminator.
The game will be played in the capital city, Luanda, at the Estadio Dos Coquerios on Saturday.
Coach Norman Mapeza travelled with a 24-man squad that includes juniors Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya and Oscar Bhebhe who were promoted from the club’s Under-19 side.
Nigerian Abubakar Temitope Onifade, signed from Clique Sports Academy in Lagos, played for Remo Stars back in his country and also passed through FC Barcelona Academy Lagos,also made the trip to Angola.
“The team is already in Angola and are in good spirits ahead of the Saturday match,” said club spokesperson Chido Chizondo.
