Dynamos to invade Malawi for pre-season tourney

HARARE giants Dynamos have confirmed their participation in the 2023 Nyasa Big Bullets Pre-Season International Tournament slated for March 3 to 5 at Kamuzu Stadium, in Malawi.

The tourney will make a return after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dynamos spokesperson Tinashe Farawo said the Glamour Boys will use the tournament to prepare for the new season.

’’We are coming as part of our pre-season preparations. We are in the process of assembling our team but we are almost done,’’ Farawo told Malawian publication, Times.

Four teams namely hosts Nyasa Big Bullets, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, Dynamos and Mozambican giants UD Songo will participate in the tournament.

However, UD Songo are yet to confirm their participation.

Speaking to the same publication, Nyasa Big Bullets chief administration officer Albert Chigoga said two other teams are on standby.

’’Songo will confirm this week but we have plan B as two teams are anxiously waiting. It will be premature to disclose their names,’’ said Chigoga.

During the 2019 edition, Chicken Inn from Bulawayo, UD Songo, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets took part.
