Denzel Washington cuts a cool figure in snapback cap as he enjoys a night at the Los Angeles Lakers basketball game

He is an acting legend who has two Academy Awards and two Golden Globes to his name.

And Denzel Washington enjoyed a break from his hectic film schedule as he took in a basketball game in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Training Day star, 64, showcased his on-trend style as he donned a New York Yankees snapback cap for the pre-season game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.

The Bone Collector actor looked sharp for his evening for sports action, clad in a black tee and slate grey woollen jacket.

He paired this with black slacks and monochrome trainers.

The star looked delighted as he chatted with friends before taking his place on the courtside.

The star has been married to wife Pauletta Pearson since 1983. Back in June at the AFI Awards in Hollywood, the smitten star Washington said his “biggest lifetime achievement” is his wife of 35 years.   

The New York native met Pauletta on the set of the TV movie Wilma. They wed in 1983.

In 1995, Denzel and Pauletta renewed their wedding vows in South Africa with Archbishop Desmond Tutu officiating. 

He added that he is also proud of his four children.
