DYNAMOS have been slapped with a US$2 000 fine following incidents of crowd trouble by the club’s fans in a Chibuku Super Cup semi-final against FC Platinum last Sunday.

The Harare giants lost 0-1 to FC Platinum and their fans reacted by throwing missiles at match officials, for alleged bias.

“According to Order 1.9 of the Chibuku Super Cup Disciplinary Offences and Fines, Dynamos FC have been charged a sum of two thousand dollars (US$2000) for failing to exercise control over their fans.

“The PSL urges clubs to raise awareness and educate their fans and officials on football rules and regulations to ensure the safety of spectators, match officials and players at football matches,” said the PSL in a statement.

FC Platinum midfielder Innocent Mucheneka scored the only goal of the match in the latter stages of the opening half of extra time to hand DeMbare the defeat.

The Zvishavane platinum miners will now face Ngezi Platinum in the finals of the knockout tournament at Mandava Stadium on 5 December.
