After having a successful year in 2021 both in the music and fashion industry, Bulawayo born all rounder artiste Dalivaldo Starley has been instated as the official ambassador of Zikomo Awards.
He will be conducting various activities for the awards globally as the ambassador in Africa.
Zikomo is an international awards ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates individuals and organisations who are contributing positively and doing well in various industries including the arts and entrepreneurs.
Zikomo also recognises humanitarians who are contributing well by helping those who are in need in different communities.
This year’s edition of the awards will be held in Lusaka, Zambia on a date to be announced.
Organisations and individuals in the arts industry and entrepreneurs will be nominated and voted for via the awards’ website on different categories by the public in Zambia and across the continent.
Upon his appointment, Dalivaldo Starley who is the brain behind songs such as Body Shape, Mamiyo and Sakholisa said the opportunity came at the right time in his career and he will work hard in fostering unity and humanity in Africa.
“Zikomo Awards are a big brand in Africa and being appointed and to associate with them is a big achievement in my career.
“I had a great year in 2021 and as I enter 2022, God showed up in my life and gave me this wonderful life changing opportunity that I promise to grab with both hands as this comes once in a life time.
“I am looking forward to a fruitful relationship with the Zikomo Awards because the agenda of humanitarian that they are pushing, is of a core value to me as an African artiste.
“I will also do all my best to encourage other artistes and entrepreneurs to have humanity upon other Africans,” said Dalivaldo Starley.
Apart from the deal, he said he will be offering more music to his fans in 2022.
