Countdown to Valentine’s

And it’s a leap year!!!

As is the norm of the leap year culture, women should get out of their comfort zone and go an extra mile in ensuring that their lovers are spoilt.

Dear men, you’re this year’s Valentinos, finally you can come out of the safe hiding commonly coded, the “Men’s Conference”.

The Valentine’s Day is usually dubbed the second birthday, as it is usually mandatory for ladies to be showered with gifts on their birthdays and on 14 February.

“I’m taking him out for dinner and drinks at his favourite joint. I have no option but to do so as it is a leap year and as a way of giving him no room to come up with excuses next year of not getting me anything for Valentine’s,” said songbird Lee Mchoney.

As for Novuyo Seagirl, she has already asked her boyfriend what he desires.

“He said I should freeze some maize cobs and send them to where he is, that’s all he wants,” said Seagirl.

Some women believe that love and gifts should be reciprocal, all should pay the price of being in love.

“This concept of making it a once in four years treat is not fair, men should be spoiled frequently too, the same way they do to us,” said Thando Jocelyn Dube.

Being a leap year doesn’t stop men either to show love and this is exactly what Mzoe 7 holds.

What are Mzoe 7’s plans for 14 February?

“I am actually collecting sanitary wear for the girl child and I’m happy that we are already on 60 packs going up in just a few days. I just wanna make the girl child feel important and loved. I’m dedicating this Valentine’s to the people who need this love more.

“But I’m expecting a Tom Ford cologne at least from my lover,” he said.
