TONDERAI Ndiraya, a local football gaffer who recently retraced to his boyhood club Dynamos to replace fired Lolyd “MaBlanyo” Chigowe, seems to be what the doctor ordered for the return of smiles on DeMbare multitudes.
Stanza, as Ndiraya is fondly known among the Dynamos faithful, has so far managed to see his charges collect four points from a possible six after playing a one all draw against TelOne and edging ZPC Kariba 1-0 last weekend.
This means, under the guidance of Ndiraya, a coach who was formerly with Ngezi Platinum Stars, Dynamos are on a 65% success run. Dynamos are now on position 10 with seven points with a negative goal difference of -1.
When MaBlanyo was shown the exit after four games, the former champions were on a 25% percent success rate after posting one win and three league defeats.
The lanky gaffer left the Zimbabwe’s most successful club with a paltry three points and on a -2 goal difference.
“I admit we had a bad start but when I assembled the team, a lot of things were not right,” argued MaBlanyo.
For his third game in charge at the blue half of the capital, Ndiraya will see his boys take on equally buoyant Yadah FC at Rufaro Stadium.
The Prophet Walter Magaya-backed side is coming from a 2-3 away triumph over bottom of the table placed Bulawayo Chiefs.
“We need to be much organised when we take on Dynamos. The win against Bulawayo Chiefs is a start of good things in our team,” said Yadah coach Genesis Mungombe.
