THE Sunday Chidzambwa-led Warriors technical team has seemingly budged to local football fans pressure over the decision to omit Highlanders central defender Peter Muduhwa from its 32-member CHAN squad.

Previously overlooked Muduhwa, one of the consistent performers in the youthful Bosso side, was called to join the squad late yesterday amid revelations by his club coach Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu that he left Bulawayo for Harare this morning.

“We got a call late yesterday and I can confirm that Peter has travelled to Harare. This means a lot for Highlanders as we have contributed four players into the Chan squad,” said Mpofu.

Bosso goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda, holding midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku and striker Prince Dube are part of the players that were called into the Warriors camp.

Meanwhile, it has turned out that CAPS United’s in-form midfielder Joel “Josta” Ngodzo, a player whose exclusion from the squad many lamented, does not have a passport.

There was so much outrage over the player’s exclusion from the team following his consistent and breathtaking performances for Lloyd Chitembwe’s CAPS United.

It remains to be seen if Zifa will apply for the player’s emergency passport ahead of the Warriors’ game against Mauritius at the weekend.
