Cal_Vin’s music career is one of an artiste who works better under competition and somehow he is one figure who usually turns negative vibes into stepping stones.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, the controversial Mgcini “Cal Vin” Nhliziyo has been involved in social media rap battles and he has dared Mudiwa Hood to pick up the mic and challenge him.

Cal Vin made it known that he could beat the gospel musician in his own game.

“I’m ready For Mudiwa I can even use my Gospel Songs on him. Somehow he thinks just because he is rich, he is the best musically so every time he gets attacked by fans he channels his anger towards Zim Rappaz, now he challenged Rappaz coz his ego just went up his a** and thinks He has bangers than all Zim Rappaz, well I can ruin his party if he agrees to battle,” posted Cal Vin on his Facebook timeline following Mudiwa Hood’s live video on Instagram.

With at most 76 live viewers, Zim Celebs page went on to hail Mudiwa Hood as king.

“Hip hop fans we are disappointed with Zim rappers…@mudiwahood tora crown yako….Y’all favourite rappers are scared to battle the king of rap in Zim,” posted Zim Celebs.

Gospel Hip hop artiste Mudiwa is supposedly going through a rough patch with his wife seeking a divorce and she took to social media to make stunning allegations of adultery by the musician. Online fans were displeased with the singer’s deeds.

The self-proclaimed Luveve boy, Cal Vin became a top-name in the game when he featured the celebrated South African rapper Cassper Nyovest. In the song Zikhuphani, Cal Vin recites lyrics of his rise from nothing to being a household name.

“Bona It started as a dream papa. Ngathi ngu Luther emakhoneni. Bengidlala uski baba. Manje ngiblome labo Cassper. Wena uthini baba.”
