IN case you have been wondering about the whereabouts of famed Zimbabwean muso, Buffalo Souljah, whose real name is Thabani Ndlovu, as his first name suggests, panic not and rejoice for the Rugare hitmaker, has picked up the mic again.
He has released a new song titled Even Bad Man Fall In Love.
The single, which was produced by Titus Gambiza and distributed by Ziiki, was released on 16 September.
Even Bad Man Fall In Love is no doubt a catchy title of a song and it is interesting to note that Buffalo Souljah’s love life and experiences in dating, inspired the composition of the song.
Speaking from his base in South Africa, the dreadlocked musician said in the period he was lying low, he reflected on his love life, hence the penning of the song and indefatigable efforts of coming out with an album titled The Return of Alkebulan.
Alkebulan is the ancient name of Africa, and on this particular project, the chanter will be tracing back to his African roots as he said the album will be a fusion of traditional Zimbabwean music as well as current trends of various genres.
His close friend Winky D, is also expected to feature on the coming album.
“I released my latest song titled Even Bad Man Fall In Love which was inspired by my love and dating experiences. It has received a grand review from across Africa. Apart from that, I am currently working hard on a new album titled The Return of Alkebulan. What made it so easy this time around is that I cut back on the features on this album.
“The Return of Alkebulan is basically me going back to my roots, back to basics and infusing Zimbabwean and African sounds from music legends such as the late Oliver Mtukudzi and Thomas Mapfumo while infusing them with urban sounds of today like Afro Beats, AmaPiano and Dancehall,” said Buffalo Souljah.
He also revealed that he was working on staging a gig with various Zimbabwean and South African artistes all in an effort to bridge the artistic gap between the two nations.
His hit song Fire Emoji, will soon get a remix which will feature Leo Magoz and Holy Ten, Kikky Badass among others.
