CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League Week 15 is headlined by a massive fixture in Bulawayo this weekend as Highlanders take on Dynamos in a battle of Zimbabwe set for the cauldron of Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

The two Zimbabwe football giants have experienced contrasting fortunes this season and will want to win this game.

Bosso are in 10th place in the PSL standings and have not been at their best this season.

DeMbare have improved under Tonderai Ndiraya in recent weeks but were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by basement side Bulawayo City last weekend.

Tonderai Ndiraya

Dynamos are at the top of the league table at the moment and have been impressive this season.

Bosso edged DeMbare 1-0 in their previous game, an Independence Cup final match that attracted a capacity crowd at Emagumeni.

The blue and white army was outplayed on the day and have a point to prove in this fixture.

Bosso captain Ariel Sibanda, his deputy Peter Muduhwa, centre back Andrew Tandi and versatile Andrew “Kabila” Mbeba  will be expected to lead from the front for the Bulawayo football giants but pint-sized Ray Lunga is still to recover from his injury.

Bustling Stanley Ngala, Godfrey Makaruse and Lycon Chikuhwa will be expected to be the attacking trio for the Mandla “Lulu” Mpofu mentored side.

“We want to give our fans something to smile about. We want to bring back that cheer.

I understand their feelings.

We need to get a win. We urge our fans to come in numbers. I’m not pressured but will channel all the energy to try and give our fans a positive result,” said Mpofu.

DeMbare

There are no injury concerns in the Dynamos camp and with young Bill Antonio and Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Zengayire Paga in excellent form they will definitely lead the line against Bosso.

Bosso versus DeMbare Prediction

Bosso have shown flashes of their potential, but are yet to become a clinical force in the final third.

With Chikuhwa, Ngala and Makaruse in the side this week, the black and white army could pose a bigger threat in the Battle of Zimbabwe Part One.

On the other hand, Dynamos are in impeccable form at the moment and have been Zimbabwe’s best team this season. Captained by Patson Jaure, DeMbare have excellent players at their disposal and hold a slight upper hand going into this game.

Prediction: Bosso 1 DeMbare 1
