THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixtures programme enters round 12 on Friday with a derby tie between Highlanders and Bulawayo Chiefs set for Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Bosso go into the match following a one-all draw against GreenFuel. It was Bosso’s seventh draw of the campaign that took their points tally to 19, one behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Bosso gaffer Baltemar Brito reckoned they needed to pick maximum points.

“Yes, we are yet to lose but we need to win some of the games. The boys are playing well, they have the zeal to do well and our fans should not let them down. We are a very competitive side,” said Brito.

The Lizwe Sweswe-mentored Bulawayo Chiefs are also coming from a 1-1 stalemate that saw them being held by visiting army side Cranborne Bullets. Chiefs are on position four with 17 points.

Perched on number three with 18 points, defending league champions FC Platinum have a date with GreenFuel in a match that will be played at Gibbo Stadium.

Chicken Inn will go to their match against another army side Black Rhinos with their tails up. In their previous encounter, Gamecocks handed ZPC Kariba a shock 3-0 defeat.

It was a development that saw the Simbisa Brands-sponsored side take their points tally to 15.

Chicken Inn coach Prince Matore said they would not adopt a casual approach.

“We had a massive win against ZPC Kariba but we will not underestimate Black Rhinos. They are a tricky side which means we will need to up our game. We need to keep on winning and scoring more goals,” said Matore.

Diamonds are on position six with a total of 16 points one ahead of ninth-placed Hwange.
