Mzansi’s favourite golden girl Bonang Matheba is one of the country’s most sought-after TV stars and she has managed to build a successful career in showbiz.

Bonang wears many hats, she dabbles in presenting, fashion, business, and evidently producing. Since she rose to superstardom she has been killing it in the game by leaving millions of her fans mesmerised by her talent and everything she touches turns to gold.

In a tweet, the TV star opened up about how heartbroken she is for being home for a year now. The Covid-19 pandemic forced Bonang to postpone a number of her projects in 2020 after she had planned to make big strides in the Big Apple.

Bonang had plans to relocate to New York City to join a list of SA stars who are taking the industry by storm there. Now it seems Queen B is ready to start working and travel across the world, to do what she is good at.

Bonang told Drum Magazine in late 2019 that in 2020 she was planning to move to the USA after the Sun Met.

“I’m moving to the US after the Sun Met next year and the plan is to get there to put the plans in motion,” Bonang said.

“I have a hunger to be great and it is addictive,” she said. “I work hard, I make sacrifices because I want to be the best. If I had the opportunity to speak to the young Bonang who got into the industry very young, I would tell her to keep going.”

Bonang is not only a stunner, but also the niftiest hustler in SA. She is the first black SA woman to be featured in numerous magazines, the first SA celeb to launch an online reality show called B. Dazzled, and even the first international ambassador for cosmetic brand Revlon, this star is a pioneer in many ways.

Her luxury beverage brand House of BNG, which she launched in 2019 is Bonang’s “Love letter to Africa”. Through it, Bonang has become the first black woman to become a member of the Cap Classique Producers Association. Her company is making waves in the industry and even creating employment for black South Africans.

In 2020 her show two-part special show ‘A Very Bonang Year’ debuted on SABC1 and it smashed the channel’s viewership record.

This year Bonang is expected to start her host duties on iHeart Radio. The TV was announced as one of the world’s talented celebs to join Charlamagne tha God’s upcoming podcast which is dedicated to Black listeners and voices in Black culture.

We hope this year will be bigger and better for Bonang. — ZAlebs
