Billiat doubtful for Chiefs

AT a time when Khama Billiat is needed by his South African club, the former Zimbabwean international is doubtful for his team’s weekend match due to a nagging injury.

Kaizer Chiefs have endured a difficult start to the season and sit on 14th position in the DStv Premiership standings.

They have managed just eight points from their opening seven matches, having won only twice in the competition thus far.

To make matters worse for the team, five of their stars, including Billiat, are out of the weekend fixture against SuperSport United.

“We did not have several guys (for the match against Gallants) including Siyabonga Ngezana, Cole Alexander, Khama Billiat, Reeve Frosler and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo available for selection due to an assortment of reasons.

“We will use the next few days to see which of the guys are able to return but it’s not looking good for players like Billiat. We need everyone so we can plan accordingly for all the matches,” head coach Arthur Zwane told the club’s website Thursday morning.
